Finished!

So are my "fabric book" : "in memory of our grandmothers" finished. I havne´t done any binding, just sewed them toghter two and two and have done a simple wrap.

Här är från sidan!

Here are the whole bunch!

Congratulations Gunnel what an amazing book and how clever is the use of a garter clip as the closure.

Hi!
I've been to London for a week and then busy trying to catch up with all the work that has piled up in my absence...so, please forgive me...it has taken me until this evening to finally catch up with your blog, one I have always enjoyed reading.

One of the odd things, however, about reading post after post is the sense of continuity one finds. Your work reads like a dream...one perfect image after another. I just love the sense of nostalgia, respect, and love that your work showcases. You use buttons and stitch so affectively.

Your fabric transferred images are totally wonderful...spiritual. Your colors blend perfectly into the whole composition. Everything I've seen leaves me wanting to see even more. Perfect work...total joy.
Thank you for caring and sharing!
Susan

I have enjoyed traveling through your blog and seeing the wonderful pieces you have made.
I am drawn to this family album, as I have been thinking of how to incorporate a photo of my grandmother into some sort of quilted piece as a wedding gift for a young cousin. (Her great grandmother). Now I see a way to use more than one photo and make pages. Thank you for sharing this great idea.

Nice of you to come to my blog today and comment on my "Spider Art". Do come back, as will I here.
