More pages for my fabric book

This week on my course for Lenna Andrews: Mini art Quilts Fabric Book, is about stamping on fabrics, both with rubber stamps and ink, and with textilecolour on plants. On this first page here I have done leaves stamping with textilecolour, then I have done some freemachinequilting. The photo is on my grand-grand parents ( on my fathers side) They were married for almost 70 years! I also added some ribbbons and buttons!

Here is a sweet, but rather boring fabric with flowers, I have stamped it with ink and different rubberstamaps with text. I have done phototransfers from an old poetry book from 1900, and a photo of a young girl, some lace and buttons!

and the last page; here I have stamped with an apple, with textilecolours, just like the kids are doing at the kindergarten, ( I am an old kindergarten teather....) I have done a phototransfer from an old colourphoto from 1956, it has faded, only the red colour is left! It´s Tekla who is writing home to her brother in Sweden and will share with him a picture from their apple picking.
I have also stamped with ink the words "journey" and "memories" So have I added a little bit from the letters she send home.

Its always nice when classwork doubles as a family heirloom. Its very elegant.

I had not commented on your last projects with transfers or collages because I am not too attracted to that kind of art myself in general (I like seeing some, but I don't figure myself doing some. The bug is with me, not with your work or with others' works), but as I keep visiting your blog and see the beautiful pieces you have achieved recently, I feel you are going to change my mind. I really love what you have done, and the heirloom.

Hi,
I discovered just now your blog, and your works, I like them! I'm planning to make family memories books for my children, I saw a beautiful one, a few years ago, made by Martine House, a textile artist, who lives in United States. Now, I see yours, and the necessity to do one grows!
Thank you for these good moments spent with your realisations. Sorry for my bad English, I hope you understand me.
I write from South of France
See you soon
Mimi
